Spring, Finally: Home Support Services and the Version of Myself I Believe In Right Now

Spring is almost here.
In true Minnesota fashion, we’ve had dramatic snowstorms on a Sunday and 70 degrees by Thursday. It’s chaotic, confusing, and somehow still magical.
Because we all know what’s coming next.
This is the season that reminds us why we live here in the first place. The payoff for enduring winter.
⸻
I never used to be a spring person.
That changed when I had a home of my own. A place where I could plant something, water it, and actually watch it grow.
Now, around this time of year, I start to feel it. That pull.
I find myself wandering garden centers, slowly walking the aisles, breathing in that earthy, hopeful scent like it’s therapy.
⸻
I always say I’m a planter, not a gardener.
Because here’s the truth.
I love the beginning.
The dreaming.
The choosing.
The belief that this will be the year my garden is beautiful all summer long.
That I’ll stay on top of it.
That I’ll pull every weed, water consistently, and somehow become the kind of person who just maintains things effortlessly.
⸻
And then, of course, the weeds come.
They always do.
They grow right alongside the flowers, quietly at first, then all at once.
And usually, I let them.
Not because I don’t care, but because life keeps moving, and perfection isn’t really the point.
⸻
But right now, in this moment, I believe in myself.
I believe this is the year I’ll have a weed-free garden.
A perfectly tended space.
A calm, organized, thriving little corner of the world.
Spring lets me believe that.
And honestly, I think that’s why I love it so much.
⸻
At Crocus Homes, that same idea carries into the home.
Not perfection, but consistency.
A space that is maintained, supported, and cared for over time, so it continues to function the way it’s meant to.
