A Little Halloween Nostalgia (and Full-Size Candy Bars)

This has always been one of my absolute favorite holidays — there’s just something so magical about it.

When I was a kid, my dad would take us trick-or-treating for what felt like hours. We’d come home with pillowcases so full of candy we could barely carry them. And then came the best part — Mom would “check” our candy… which, looking back, might’ve just been her way of snagging a few of her favorites. 😉

The other day I was talking with some kids about Halloween, and they told me their favorite neighbors are the ones who hand out the big candy bars. It made me smile — some things about Halloween never change. So this year, I decided to join the ranks of the full-size bar givers. 🍫
